Q: Now you two are under the same label, what's the reason to choose each other?

Q: ตอนนี้คุณทั้งสองคนได้อยู่ใต้สังกัดเดียวกันแล้ว อะไรคือเหตุผลที่เลือกกันและกัน?

Tiger JK: People think I know Junoflo because of Show Me the Money but I never really watched SMTM properly before. It was actually a person I know introduced Junoflo's music and his MV to me first. They told me 'this dude is good'. So I know of him and also how good he is. Then I left it as it is because I've gone thru really hard times these last few years with my business. I was scammed. Pretty much lost everything. After that point, I've been focusing on my family more, therefore naturally I kept a distance from the music industry. Then just like in a movie, Junoflo appeared. I could understand if Juno chose a bigger label over Feel Ghood Music. In fact, I wished him to be successful in his career in a huge company.

Tiger JK: ผู้คนคิดว่าผมรู้จัก Junoflo จากรายการ Show Me the Money แต่ผมไม่เคยดูรายการนี้อย่างจริงจังเลยครับ จริงๆแล้ว มันเป็นเพราะว่าคนที่ผมรู้จักได้แนะนำเพลงของ Junoflo และเอ็มวีของเขาให้ผมก่อน พวกเขาบอกว่าคนๆนี้เก่งเลยนะ ตอนที่ผมได้ยิน ผมชอบมากเลยล่ะ และอยากให้มันออกมาได้ดี ยังไงซะ ผมก็ได้ลืมจูโน่ไปเลยเพราะผมต้องเผชิญปัญหาในชีวิตผม ผมถูกโกง ผมค่อนข้างสูญเสียทุกอย่าง หลังจากจุดนั้น ผมจึงรักษาระยะห่างจากวงการเพลง และมันก็เหมือนกับในภาพยนตร์ Junoflo ก็ปรากฏตัวขึ้น ผมเข้าใจจูโน่นะ ถ้าเขาเลือกค่ายเพลงที่ใหญ่กว่า Feel Ghood Music ในความเป็นจริงผมอยากให้เขาประสบความสำเร็จในอาชีพของเขาในบริษัทที่ใหญ่กว่านี้

Junoflo: I knew 'Feel Ghood Music' before I participated in SMTM. The manager of Tiger JK introduced my music to him and I received a good response. I was glad JK likes my music. After I got eliminated from SMTM I was debating what to do. I had many thoughts. At that time JK's manager contacted me. Before that point, I had a few meetings with people from other companies, but Feel Ghood was right for me. They seemed to really care about my music and me as an artist. That was the difference.

Q: So you wanted Junoflo to be successful in a bigger company but why did you suggest for him to sign a contract with your company?

Tiger JK: before I even talk about work, I become close to him as a friend and met his family first. No matter how talented he is as a rapper, we might not like each other personally so it was more important to see how we get along. Haha. We were becoming friends with each other and share music interests. We realized we are aiming for the same goals and in the same direction. So it was natural to decide to work together.

Tiger JK: ก่อนที่ผมจะพูดถึงเกี่ยวกับงาน ผมได้เริ่มสนิทกับเขาในฐานะเพื่อนและผมก็ไปพบครอบครัวของเขาเป็นอันดับแรกครับ ไม่ว่าเขาจะมีความสามารถมากเท่าไหร่ในฐานะแร็ปเปอร์ พวกเราอาจจะไม่ชอบนิสัยกันและกัน ดังนั้นมันจึงสำคัญมากครับที่จะเห็นว่าเราเข้ากันได้ขนาดไหน ฮ่าๆ พวกเราเริ่มเป็นเพื่อนกันและกันและแบ่งปันดนตรีและความสนใจกันครับ พวกเราได้รับรู้ว่าพวกเรามีเป้าหมายเดียวกันและในทิศทางเดียวกันครับ ดังนั้นมันจึงเป็นไปโดยธรรมชาติที่เราตัดสินใจทำงานด้วยกันครับ

Q: So Tiger JK is coming back after all that hard time, for this reason, to promote Junoflo. Please go ahead and tell us as much as you can about this single album 'Deja Vu'

Junoflo: people know me only by what I did on SMTM. I don't want to limit myself only as a rapper. I want to be a musician who can create good music as well. I wanted to show that in this album.

Junoflo: ผู้คนรู้จักผมจากสิ่งที่ผมทำในรายการ Show Me the Money เท่านั้น ผมไม่อยากจำกัดตัวเองในฐานะแค่แร็ปเปอร์เท่านั้น ผมอยากเป็นนักดนตรีที่ผลิตดนตรีที่ดีด้วย นั้นคือสิ่งที่ผมอยากจะแสดงให้เห็นในอัลบั้มนี้ครับ

Tiger JK:  I'm not just saying this. Junoflo can rap and sing. That is not common. Not everyone can do that. He has great skills in both areas. He can do hardcore rap then switch to soulful vocals. That's why he released two different types of tracks this time. One is very hip hop, the other one you can enjoy his vocal. At first, I was surprised when he suggested Deja Vu for his debut track. I thought he is going to do hardcore stuff too. Deja Vu has got good melodic lines.

Tiger JK: ผมไม่ได้จะพูดนะแต่ว่า Junoflo สามารถแร็ปและร้องได้ นั้นไม่ธรรมดาเลยนะ ไม่ใช่ทุกคนที่สามารถทำได้แบบนั้น เขามีทักษะที่ดีทั้งสองอย่าง เขาสามารถแร็ปแบบหนักๆได้แล้วก็เปลี่ยนไปร้องด้วยอารมณ์อย่างเต็มเปี่ยมได้อีกด้วย และนั้นก็คือเหตุผลว่าทำไมเขาถึงได้ปล่อยเพลงออกมา

สองแบบในครั้งนี้ เพลงหนึ่งฮิปฮอปมากส่วนอีกเพลงหนึ่งก็โชว์ทักษะด้านการร้องของเขาครับ ตอนแรกผมก็แปลกใจที่เขาแนะนำให้เพลง Deja Vu เป็นเพลงเดบิวต์ของเขา ผมคิดว่าเขาจะทำเพลงแบบหนักๆเหมือนกัน Deja Vu มีจังหวะเพลงที่ดีครับ

Q: Junoflo, what was the reason to decide to go for Show Me the Money 5?

Q: Junoflo, อะไรคือเหตุผลที่คุณตัดสินใจเข้าร่วมรายการ Show Me the Money 5?

Junoflo: After I graduated, I was working full time. When I finished work I went home and kept making music. My goal was that I wanted to live a life with music. I saved enough money to live for one year without a full time job. So I can purely focus on music.

A month after I quit my job I heard about SMTM auditions in L.A. It was just the right time. I saw the opportunity and prepared for the audition. I was listening to Korean tracks and studied Korean to write lyrics in Korean for about one month. I was pleased I received good responses from the show. At the end it was a part of following my dream rather than doing just a competition.

Junoflo: หลังจากที่ผมเรียนจบ ผมได้ทำงานอยู่หลายปี เวลาที่ผมเสร็จจากงานผมก็จะกลับบ้านและก็ทำเพลง เป้าหมายของผมคือการใช้ชีวิตกับดนตรี ผมเก็บเงินได้มากพอที่จะใช้ชีวิตหนึ่งปีโดยไม่ต้องทำงานเต็มเวลา ดังนั้นผมจะได้เน้นไปที่เพลงอย่างเต็มที่ หลังจากนั้นหนึ่งเดือน ผมได้ลาออกจากงานและได้ยินเกี่ยวกับการออดิชั่นในรายการ Show Me the Money ที่ L.A. และมันก็เป็นเวลาที่เหมาะสม ผมเห็นโอกาสและได้เตรียมตัวสำหรับการออดิชั่น ผมได้ฟังเพลงเกาหลีและเรียนภาษาเกาหลีเพื่อที่จะเขียนเนื้อเพลงเกาหลีประมาณหนึ่งเดือน ผมดีใจที่ได้รับการตอบรับที่ดีจากรายการมากกว่าที่ผมคิดไว้ แต่ในท้ายที่สุดมันคือการตามความฝันของผมมากกว่าการแข่งขันครับ

Q: Strictly you two are boss and newbie in the company, but it seems like you guys are more like buddies. How did you bond with each other, what musical tastes do you are share together?

Q: จริงๆแล้วคุณทั้งสองคนคือเจ้านายและนักร้องใหม่ในบริษัทแต่ดูเหมือนว่าพวกคุณจะเพื่อนกันมากกว่านะ คุณสนิทกันได้ยังไง แนวเพลงแบบไหนที่คุณแบ่งปันกัน?

Tiger JK: (Yoon)mirae and I were in Juno's car going somewhere in L.A, I was so surprised to see Juno's CD collection in his car.

We have similar taste in music. I didn't expect a young man like him to appreciate old masterpieces like that. He really knows a lot about music. I was impressed. He listens to not only hip hop but also some great soul and jazz albums. I presumed he'd only listen to the latest cool hip hop just like other kids these days. I changed my opinion.

Tiger JK: ตอนนั้น (Yoon) Mirae และผมอยู่บนรถของ Junoflo ที่ L.A. ผมตกใจมากที่เห็นคอเลคชั่นซีดีของจูโน่บนรถของเขา พวกเรามีรสนิยมทางดนตรีที่คล้ายกัน ผมไม่ได้คาดหวังให้เด็กหนุ่มแบบเขาชื่นชมเพลงเก่าแบบนั้น เขารู้จักเพลงเยอะมาก ผมประทับใจเลยล่ะ เขาไม่ได้ฟังเฉพาะฮิปฮอปแต่ยังฟังอัลบั้มแจ๊สและโซลดีๆอีกด้วย ผมคิดว่าเขาฟังแค่เพลงฮิปฮอปใหม่ๆเท่านั้น เหมือนเด็กคนอื่นๆในสมัยนี้ แต่ผมเปลี่ยนความคิดผมแล้วล่ะครับ

Junoflo: I love buying CDs and vinyl. I've been collecting since I was young. I don't want to use the word 'old music' too. I learn a lot from listening to great albums. I like listening to various types of music.

Junoflo: ผมชอบซื้อซีดีและแผ่นเสียง ผมสะสมมาตั้งแต่เด็กๆเลยครับ ผมไม่อยากใช้คำว่า “เพลงเก่า” เช่นกัน ผมได้เรียนรู้หลายอย่างจากการฟังอัลบั้มดีๆเหล่านั้น ผมชอบฟังเพลงหลายแนวครับ

Q: what did the year 2016 mean to you?

Junoflo: For me it was 'the craziest year of my life'. My world flipped over. It has been an incredible experience. Many things happened I couldn't even have imagined. It means a lot to me because I do music now and I have been dreaming of that. That dream has come true for me

Junoflo: สำหรับผมแล้ว 2016เป็น “ปีที่บ้าที่สุดในชีวิตผมเลย” โลกของผมเปลี่ยนจากหน้ามือเป็นหลัง ผมได้รับประสบการณ์ที่น่าทึ่ง หลายสิ่งหลายที่ผมไม่สามารถจิตนาการได้เกิดขึ้น มันมีความหมายต่อผมเพราะผมได้ทำดนตรีแล้วในตอนนี้และผมฝันถึงสิ่งนี้มาตลอด สิ่งนี้มันเป็นจริงแล้วครับ
